Don't Die In SkyHaven

Written by Charles Antony Sliney

"Welcome to the town where death is just a song away."

In the pastel-perfect town of SkyHaven, every problem has a song and every death is celebrated as a soul rising peacefully to the heavens. Until one doesn't.

When a beloved flower seller is found brutally murdered — and her soul fails to ascend — sixteen-year-old Myrtle Fairchild begins to question everything her community believes. While the town clings to denial and rehearsed optimism, Myrtle forms an unlikely "crime club" with her classmate to investigate what the adults refuse to confront.

As more bodies appear and fear quietly spreads, Myrtle is forced to blend in to survive — even joining the cheerleading squad to avoid suspicion. But beneath the glitter and choreographed smiles, something far darker is unfolding. The killer isn't random. He's watching. Learning. Manipulating the town's refusal to face reality.

The investigation builds to a blood-soaked Sweet Sixteen dance where celebration turns to massacre, exposing a shocking truth: the monster hiding in plain sight is someone the town trusted most.

Blending biting satire, escalating horror, and sharp musical numbers that contrast cheer with brutality, Don't Die in SkyHaven is a twisted coming-of-age story about denial, conformity, and the courage it takes to stand apart when everyone else would rather sing.
