A Screenplay by Charles Antony Sliney
"Same woman. Different world. Way more lipstick."
After a lonely aspiring novelist makes a wish to live inside her own bestselling fantasy series, she wakes up as Crystal Kiss — the hyper-sexualised action heroine she created. Trapped in a neon-soaked crime world filled with sleazy cops, ridiculous villains and dangerously seductive one-liners she can barely control, Mildred quickly realises her glamorous fantasy is far more broken than she imagined.
As Crystal's personality begins surfacing inside her, Mildred struggles to separate who she really is from the exaggerated woman she wrote to escape her insecurities. But when the city falls into chaos and the man she genuinely cares about is kidnapped, Mildred and Crystal must learn to work together before the world — and their identities — collapse completely.
Blending action-comedy, fantasy and romance, The Midnight Bloom Chronicles is a heartfelt and chaotic story about self-worth, escapism, and rewriting the stories we tell ourselves.
